Ready to use injectable solution of D-Cloprostenol, synthetic analogue of prostaglandin F2a (PGF).
Vial containing D-Cloprostenol (sodic salt) at a concentration of 0.075 mg (75 µg) per 1 mL.
Cattle and pigs (both, females).
Sows: farrowing induction. Cattle: estrous synchronization; treat luteal cyst and persistent corpus luteum (CL); chronic endometritis and pyometra; Obstetric maneuver.
Intramuscular.
Sows: 1 mL/animal (equivalent to 0.075 mg of D-Cloprostenol) for farrowing induction, at 72 to 24 hours before probable farrowing date.
Cattle: 2 mL/animal (equivalent to 0.150 mg of D-Cloprostenol). Estrous synchronization: peak estrous expected between 48 to 96 hours; second dose should be administered after 11 or 14 days. Chronic endometritis and pyometra: a second dose might be necessary after 10 to 12 days. Treat luteal cyst and persistent CL: confirm the presence of luteal tissue on the follicular wall, ideally by ultrasound. Obstetric maneuver: between day 7 and 150 of gestation.
