With this step, Biogénesis Bagó enters the top 10 animal health companies for pets in Latin America and incorporates new products that will reach a global portfolio of more than 200 solutions for this segment.
São Paulo, January 16th, 2025.- Biogénesis Bagó, a global biotechnology company specialized in the development, production and commercialization of products and services for animal health, productivity and welfare, announced the acquisition of Mundo Animal, a company with more than 40 years of experience in the Brazilian pet market.
This milestone strengthens the global expansion obtained in recent years that allows the Argentinean company to now have 12 offices and 7 production plants from which it supplies animal health solutions to more than 60 countries in the world.

Mundo Animal has a manufacturing and R+D site in Pindamonhangaba, São Paulo state, Brazil, where they develop and manufacture solutions for nutrition, medicine and hygiene for pets. The products produced there will complement Biogénesis Bagó's creating a global portfolio of more than 200 solutions for this segment.

Brazil is the third largest market in the world for pets. The acquisition come after the tech transfer agreement that Biogénesis Bagó signed with the Paraná Institute of Technology (TECPAR) to produce rabies vaccines in Brazil and the recent acquisition of Campo Largo, a manufacturing site located in Curitiba. where it will produce more than 10 million doses of vaccines for pets. The sum of these milestones positions Biogénesis Bagó as the largest producer of veterinary vaccines in Latin America.
