The company acquired a companion animals laboratory and continues its strategy to diversify its portfolio, venture into other species and further expand into new markets. 

Biogénesis Bagó, a biotechnology company specialized in animal health, added a new milestone to the growth they have experienced in the last few years with the announcement of the acquisition of Laboratorio Mayors, an animal health company with more than three decades of experience and prestige in the Latin American pet’s market.

The incorporation of this renowned laboratory allows Biogénesis Bagó to complement its current portfolio of products for pets – mainly focused on vaccines- with a set of pharmaceutical products that includes anti-arthritic, anti-parasiticides, gastric protectors and dermatological solutions, continuing to provide veterinarians, distributors, and responsible tutors with the best solutions in terms of health for dogs and cats.

This acquisition will also give the company access to new markets, as the products will be sold in 16 countries in Latin America and the Middle East, and is aligned with company’s business strategy that seeks to place Biogénesis Bagó among the top 20 animal health companies in the world.
