Biogenesis-Bago is a company with regional-scope born from the merger of two leading companies in animal health and biotechnology in Argentina: Biogenesis and Instituto San Jorge Bago. These companies –both with more than 60-years of experience in the regional market and backgrounds marked by scientific and commercial achievements in animal health and productivity– have always tried to offer solutions to farm industry problems.
For decades, both companies devoted their experience and efforts to conducting research and developing top quality veterinary products, thus becoming regional models and offering their clients tools to improve livestock productivity.

During the 80s, Biogenesis was designated by SENASA (Animal Health National Office) as a reference laboratory for the quality control of bacterial vaccines. Among its many successes, the development of Rotatec® should be highlighted. This product was the first vaccine for the prevention of neonatal diarrhea in calves. Another key achievement was the launching of the first generic ivermectin: Ivergen®.

The wide variety of products offered by our company make up a portfolio with over one hundred pharmaceutical products and state-of-the-art biological specialties, including bacterial and viral vaccines, antibiotics, parasiticides and pharmaceutical specialties for cattle, sheep, horses, swine, companion animals, birds and fish.
